The short version

This site has no database, no cookies, no ads and no third-party analytics. It keeps counters, not people. There is no stored record that could identify you.

What the website keeps

• Counters: page views, downloads, and which pages and browsers are most common.
• A daily count of unique visitors. To avoid counting you twice in one day, your IP address is converted into a one-way salted hash that is discarded when the date changes. Your IP address itself is never written to disk.
• Your email address, only if you subscribe to release announcements. Email info@nawaos.com to be removed at any time.

What the website does not keep

• No IP addresses.
• No browser fingerprints or user-agent strings.
• No cookies and no tracking pixels.
• No location lookups: your address is never sent to any external service.

What the operating system sends

• Nothing, by default. NawaOS contains no telemetry.
• If you tick the optional box in the Setup Wizard ("Help NawaOS by counting this install"), the system sends the version number once — for example "2.0" — and nothing else. No hardware IDs, no usernames, no files.

What we never do

• No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
• No profiling and no advertising.
